What We Do

carol k mast pics0002 carol k mast pics0002 We hold meetings each month, during the day or evening as announced on the calendar and at specified locations. ....usually at the Heard Craig carriage house or gallery

We hold a monthly contest for members and vote on favorites for that meeting. The winners receive a gift certificate and have their artwork shown in the featured artist blocks on this page.

If you are interested in any area of visual art, come check us out. You might just want to join us and become a member. If so, you will be eligible for a small fee to have your very own page to show your work on our web site.

Our Activities

Our many activities include lectures on art topics, demonstrations of techniques in various media, and workshops to try out the skills taught.

There are field trips to museums and gallery exhibits in many locations. Small shows, art sales, and field trips to “paint outside the gallery” in small groups. There is always a Holiday party held inside the elegant Heard Craig Mansion decorated lavishly for the season.

Each year we sponsor a major exhibit of art from MISD students to encourage their endeavors and share them with visitors.

We have held one major County-wide art show/sale each year and plan to continue this 3-day event which is free to the visiting public. Our events will be announced in the calendar section of this site.
